After graduating with a Master’s degree in Commerce, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey with a passion for learning and a drive to create something meaningful. My first venture began at the Madurai Stock Exchange in 1993, where—despite having no prior experience—I achieved a 500% investment growth in just three years. This success was inspired by my father, a first-generation entrepreneur, who built a respected edible oil business from scratch in South Tamil Nadu.

In 1996, carrying forward that entrepreneurial spirit, We founded Malligha Asafoetida Company (M.A.C.) as a small family-run business. With no prior knowledge of asafoetida manufacturing and working out of a 150 sq. ft. space, I relied on passion, perseverance, commitment with continuous learning.

From the beginning, my focus has been on:

Building reliable systems and processes tailored to our needs

Innovating packaging and developing products based on market feedback

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety—even in our first manually produced 15-kilo batch
